Success at the Cheeseburger in Paradise!

We had an absolutely AWESOME Fundraising event last Thursday (6/18/09) at Cheeseburger inParadise. Thank you all for coming, the turnout was phenomenal – we raised about $5,000 for the 3 Day Walk to find a cure for Breast Cancer. Here are some pictures from the event:

We had almost 400 attendees throughout the night, braving monsoon-like wind and rain to arrive. The raffles and silent auctions included some amazing prizes and helped to generate almost $1,500 towards that total.

We are 1/3 of the way to reaching our Team’s goal of $15,000, so a big “THANK YOU” goes out to all the attendees and bidders, our sponsors, the Cheeseburger in Paradise crew (especially the hard work, creativity and generosity of Tiffany, Kristen and Nick!), and entertainer of the century John Friday, who generously donated his time to make the event especially festive.

The 3 Day breast cancer walk in Boston is a 60 mile trek from July 24-26 to raise awareness and research money to help find a cure for this disease that has, most likely, touched all of our lives. Please take a moment to visit our team’s website or our Blog to learn more or donate again.

Cheeseburger in Paradise anyone?

The Buffalo Babes Boobie Brigade has planned the ultimate Thursday getaway for Southwest Florida residents.

Get swept away after work on Thursday 6/18 and enjoy a Cheeseburger in Paradise while you help us raise money for the team's 3 Day Walk for breast cancer. It will be held at the Cheeseburger in Paradise at the corner of Daniels Blvd and US-41 in Fort Myers, FL

From 5-8pm on Thursday, June 18th, we will be having the largest Fund Raising event ever to be recorded on this blog! For $20, lucky participants will be able to drink unlimited beer (your body will set a limit I'm sure, but we won't), buffet, prizes, live music, raffles, auctions, mojitos, margaritas, etc.

I'm happy to say we now have 6 authors for this blog! They don't really know yet, but they will soon...

I know, I know, it's not that exciting, but you have to realize that we are walking 60 miles in 3 days (www.the3day.org) in about 40 days time. I can't be posting all day, I need to get out and start training!

On this blog we're going to post stories, pictures and videos of our training, fund raising events and the actual walk. Please come back often to keep track of our progress.
